This lovely wedding in historic Salem, Massachusetts was unique blend of tradition, elegance, and a special touch of serendipity. The ceremony was held at the stunning Immaculate Conception Church, followed by formal portraits outdoors at Winter Island Park in Salem. Afterwards, while we accompanied the bride and groom for a lovely stroll for portraits along the water, we discovered a wonderful surprise: an ice cream truck! We completed this special day at their ballroom reception at the Hawthorne Hotel.

Katie and Zach were great fun to photograph. (Their engagement session at World’s End in Hyannis was especially enjoyable too!) We always welcome a chance to incorporate the traditional with a touch of the playful, especially the classic architecture of Salem, Massachusetts, along with the fine art natural light elegance of their formal portraits, and an ice cream truck.
