This Marginal Way engagement session in Ogunquit, Maine was fantastic. It’s such a beautiful location for engagement photos On the rocky seacoast of Maine, this lovely seaside village offered so many options for an engagement session. Walking on the docks, climbing on the rocks, and a sunset stroll along Marginal Way made for some great photo opportunities. Check out a few favorites.
We met near Barnacle Billy’s, etc, and went for a walk along the harbor. Happy, fun, natural and relaxed – that’s what we are always going for. We’ll find some nice light, a beautiful location, and then go for a walk. We scheduled this for the early evening, so the light was low on the horizon.
Then we climbed out on the rocks for some photos near the water. It was worth the hike to get some great photos on the rocks along the water.
We also took a quick stroll through the village, and took some fun photos. We are always searching for interesting and fun backgrounds.
This was out on the Marginal Way. We found some beautiful light. We are always on the look out for this “magic hour” light, and try to time engagement sessions according to when the sun is going down, usually an hour or two before sunset.
Happy, relaxed, lots of laughter.

This sailboat appeared on queue.
We concluded this Marginal Way engagement session with some photos on the rocks, with lots of smiles and cotton candy skies.
If you are thinking about doing an engagement session on the beach, check out this one from Plum Island and this one from Good Harbor Beach. They are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day.
