Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University in Boston is a great place for engagement session photos. There is a lot of variety, with beautiful backgrounds at every turn. We took a walk an hour or two before sunset, through this gorgeous gem of a park. From backlit branches and interesting flowers to an enormous tree that was simply magical, this walk was fantastic. We used the beautiful scenery, lovely natural light, and went for a stroll in the park. Check out some favorites from this engagement session with Hannah & Chuck in the Emerald Necklace of Boston. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the Grand View later this summer!
These photos were from the end of the evening, but are some of my favorites from the engagement session.
Pretty in black and white, too.
As we walked through the park, we were on the lookout for beautiful colors, patterns, and textures. The orange was really nice, and the textures above it were also great.
We don’t do “posing” for these photos, rather we just go for a walk. We always try to relax and have fun. It’s just better that way! Lots of goofing around, walking hand in hand, and being happy.
These flowers were so intriguing. The patterns are really beautiful and make a great backdrop for some black and white photos too.
Natural light, Black and White. Some of these photos are just made to be black and white.
Magical. This tree is simply magical. I love it and want to go back.
Happy, relaxed, goofing around, having fun. Real genuine emotion, with a beautiful clear background, and two people in love – walking through the Arnold Arboretum at sunset. Dancing as the sun goes down.
